Pius XII confirms that the Secret predicts apostasy in the Church

But perhaps the most remarkable testimony of all on this subject, although of indirect relevance, is that of Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli - before becoming Pope Pius XII - when he was still the Vatican's Secretary of State during the reign of Pius XI .

Pope Pio Xii

Speaking before Sister Lucy wrote the Third Secret, the future Pius XII made an astonishing prophecy about a future upheaval in the Church: "The messages of the Blessed Virgin to Lucia of Fatima concern me. This persistence of Mary about the dangers that threaten the Church is a warning from Heaven against the suicide of altering the Faith in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul. ( ...) I hear around me innovators who want to dismantle the chancel, destroy the universal flame of the church, reject its ornaments and make it regret its historical past. " Pope Pius XII's biographer, Monsignor Roche, noted that at this point in the conversation, Pius XII then said (in response to an objection):

"There will come a day when the civilized world will deny its God, when the Church will doubt as Peter doubted. It will be tempted to believe that man has become God. In our churches, Christians will look in vain for the red lamp where God Like Mary Magdalene, weeping in front of the empty tomb, they will ask, "Where did you take Him?"

It is really astonishing to note that the future Pope related this apparently supernatural intuition of the devastation that was approaching the Church specifically with "the messages of the Blessed Virgin to Lucia of Fatima" and with "this persistence of Mary on the dangers that threaten the Church". Such a prediction would be meaningless if it were based on the first two parts of the Great Secret, which do not mention things like "the suicide of altering the Faith in Her liturgy, Her theology and Her soul 'or' innovators who wish to dismantle the Chancel, destroy the universal flame of the Church, reject His ornaments and make Her have remorse for Her historic past. » And there is also no indication in the first two parts that "In our churches, Christians will search in vain for the red lamp where God awaits» .

How did the future Pope Pius XII know these things? It is evident that he was given a supernatural glimpse, or that he had direct knowledge that a part of the "messages from the Blessed Virgin to Lucia de Fátima", which had not been revealed until then, predicted these future events in the Church. In summary, all testimonies about the content of the Third Secret, from 1944 to at least 1984 (the date of Ratzinger's interview), confirm that it refers to a catastrophic loss of Faith and discipline in the Church, opening a gap for the forces for so long aligned with her - the "innovators" that the future Pope Pius XII heard "around me", calling for the dismantling of the chancel and for changes in Catholic.

As we will demonstrate, this gap began to take place in 1960, precisely in the year, as Sister Lucy had insisted, the third part of the Secret was to be revealed. Garabandal's apparitions took place in 1961, precisely one year after the deadline for the publication of the third secret of Fatima.
