Father Fuentes interview with Sister Lúcia (1957) about the third secret
Interview with Sister Lúcia On December 26, 1957,
Father Augustín Fuentes, who was preparing to be a postulator for the causes of the beatification of Francisco and Jacinta Marto, met with Sister Lúcia at her convent in Coimbra, Portugal; and there he was able to converse widely with the seer of Fatima. On his return to Mexico, his native country, he gave a conference on that meeting, in which he referred to Sister Lucia's words. Father Alonso, who would later be an official archivist of Fátima for 16 years, stressed that the conference report was published "with all guarantees of authenticity and with the proper episcopal approval, including that of the Bishop of Fátima."
Father Fuentes said the message came "from the main seer's own mouth." Sources: This theme was documented in depth by Frère Michel de la Sainte Trinité in Volume III of his work Toute la Vérité sur Fatima (The whole truth about Fatima). The following text is The Fatima Crusader's translation of the Spanish and English texts published in Frère Michel's book The Third Secret (Volume III, pp. 336-338). We added subtitles for convenience. Father Fuentes' report "I want to tell you about the last conversation I had with Sister Lúcia on December 26th (last year). I found her in her convent. She was very sad, very pale and dejected. She told me":
"Nobody listened" "Father, the Most Holy Virgin is very sad because no one has any attention to Her message, neither the good nor the bad: good, because they continue on their path of goodness, but ignoring this message; the bad, because not seeing that the punishment of God is already hovering over them because of their sins, they also continue on their path of evil, ignoring this Message. But believe me, Father, God will punish the world, and He will punish it in a tremendous way. Heaven's punishment is imminent. " The Secret to Reveal "Father, what is left for 1960? And what will happen then? It will be a very sad thing for everyone, and not a joyous thing, if, before, the world does not pray and do penance. I cannot detail further, since it is still a secret.
According to the will of the Blessed Virgin, only the Holy Father and the Bishop of Fatima are allowed to know the Secret, but they decided not to know it in order not to be influenced. This is the third part of the Message of Our Lady, which will remain a secret until 1960. " Russia, the scourge of God "Tell them, Father, that the Blessed Virgin has repeatedly told us, both to my cousins Francisco and Jacinta and to me, that several nations will disappear from the face of the earth. She said that Russia would be the instrument of Heaven's punishment for all the world, if we did not achieve the conversion of this poor nation before. "
"The decisive battle" between Mary and Satan: the fall of consecrated souls and priests. Sister Lucy also said to me: "Father, the devil is fighting a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin. And how the devil knows what is most offensive to God and what, in less time, will make him win a greater number of souls, he tries to win for himself the souls consecrated to God, because in this way the devil also leaves the souls of the faithful helpless by his leaders, and more easily takes possession of them. "
"What afflicts the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Sacred Heart of Jesus is the fall of the souls of Religious and Priests. The devil knows that Religious and Priests who leave their beautiful vocation drag many souls to hell. [. ..] The devil wants to take possession of consecrated souls. He tries to corrupt them in order to put the souls of laypeople to sleep and thus lead them to final impenitence. He employs all the tricks, even suggesting that they postpone their entry into religious life. the sterility of the inner life results, and among the laity a coldness (lack of enthusiasm) regarding the renunciation of pleasures and their total dedication to God.
What sanctified Jacinta and Francisco
"Also tell them, Father, that my cousins Francisco and Jacinta sacrificed themselves because, in all the apparitions of the Blessed Virgin, they always saw Her very sad. She never smiled at us. This sadness, this anguish that we noticed in her, penetrated in our souls. This sadness is caused by offenses against God and the punishments that threaten sinners. And so, we children, not knowing what to do, invented various ways to pray and make sacrifices. "
Another thing that sanctified these children was to have a vision of hell.
Sister Lucy's mission
"Father, this is why my mission is not to point out to the world the material punishments that will certainly come if the world does not pray and sacrifice before. No! My mission is to point out to everyone the imminent danger in which we are losing our souls. for all eternity, if we persist in sin. "
The urgency of conversion
Sister Lúcia also said to me: "Lord Father, we must not wait for the appeal from the Holy Father to come from Rome to do penance. Nor should we expect this call for penance to come from our Bishops, in our Dioceses. , nor of religious congregations. No! Our Lord has used these means many times, and the world has not paid attention. This is why, now, it is necessary for each of us to begin to reform ourselves spiritually. your soul as well as helping to save all the souls God has placed in your path. "
"The devil does everything in his power to distract us and take away the love of prayer; we will all be saved or we will all be condemned."
The last times "Father, the Blessed Virgin did not tell me that we are in the last times of the world, but she made me understand for three reasons." The final battle
"The first reason is because She told me that the devil is fighting a decisive battle against the Blessed Virgin. And a decisive battle is the final battle, in which one side will win and the other side will suffer defeat. now we must choose our side. We are either for God or we are for the devil. There is no other possibility. " The last remedies
"The second reason is because She told my cousins, as well as me, that God is offering the last two remedies to the world. They are the Rosary and devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. They are the last two remedies, which means that there will be no others. " Sin against the Holy Spirit "
The third reason is because, in the plans of Divine Providence, God exhausts all other remedies before punishing the world. But when He sees that the world pays no attention, then - as we say in our imperfect way of speaking - he offers the 'last fear' of salvation, His Most Holy Mother, with 'right fear'. And it is with 'right fear' because if we despise and repel this last means, we will have no more forgiveness from Heaven, because we will have committed a sin to which the Gospel calls sin against the Holy Spirit This sin consists in openly rejecting, with full knowledge and consent of the act, the salvation that He offers to us. Let us remember that Jesus Christ is a very dedicated Son, and that does not allow us to offend and despise His Most Holy Mother.
Throughout many centuries of the Church's history, we have collected the right testimony that demonstrates, through the terrible punishments that fell on those who attacked the honor of His Most Holy Mother, as Our Lord Jesus Christ always defended His Mother's honor. " Prayer and sacrifice, and the Rosary Sister Lucy said to me: "The two means for the salvation of the world are prayer and sacrifice." Regarding the Rosary, Sister Lúcia said:
"Notice, Father, that the Blessed Virgin, in these last times in which we live, has given a new effectiveness to the recitation of the Rosary. And it has given us this effectiveness in such a way that there is no problem. temporal or spiritual, however difficult it may be, in the personal life of each one of us, our families, the families of the world or religious communities, or even the lives of peoples and nations, that cannot be resolved by the Rosary. there is a problem, I say to you, however difficult it may be, that we cannot resolve by praying the Rosary. With the Rosary, we will be saved. We will be sanctified. We will console our Lord and obtain the salvation of many souls. "
Devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary
"Finally, devotion to the Immaculate Heart of Mary, our Blessed Mother, consists of considering Her as a source of mercy, kindness and forgiveness, and as the safe door through which we will enter Heaven." 1

Father Alonso started by accepting that Father Fuentes had invented the interview. But in 1975, after having studied the documents of Fátima for some time, he concluded that the text would have come from Sister Lucy. For more information, cf. The Whole Truth About Fatima, Vol. III, pp. 552-554.
