First letter, March 3, 1962

"Dear children, At nine o'clock this morning, the Blessed Virgin told me to tell you this: O blessed girls of St. Sebastian of Garabandal, I promise you that I will be with you until the end of time, and you will be with me at the end of the World. And then, united to Me, in the glory of Paradise. I am sending you a copy of the Holy Rosary of Fatima, which the Virgin told me to send to you. This Rosary was dictated by the Blessed Virgin and should be propagated for the salvation of sinners and preservation of humanity from the worst punishments with which the Good God threatens. I only give you some advice: pray and pray, because the world is in the beginning of perdition Do not believe in you, nor in your conversations with White Lady .... will believe when it is too late.

Joey and the Saint Padre Pio

Joey's visit to Padre Pio in Italy, February 1963

Joey was born on June 27, 1931, in the United States. His parents were of Italian origin. While taking a tire, he suffered an accident that struck his face. The bones of the face were crushed, the optic and olfactory nerves were damaged. Joey was in a coma for weeks and woke up on July 16, feast of Our Lady of Carmel, Mount Carmel). Having been blind since the crash, Joey will see the day of the future Miracle.

After the accident Joey had two mysterious dreams. At the first a voice woke him from his sleep, telling him that he would regain his sight, through a journey of spiritual scope.
In 1949 Joey was "visited" for the second time through a mysterious dream: he saw himself in a vast place, in a meadow in which in the middle were green trees isolated from the rest of the place.

  • In 1961 he visited Italy and went to Padre Pio for the first time. Although they never met before, Padre Pio told him, "Joey, how glad I am to see you.

  • In February of 1963, Joey made a new trip to see Padre Pio, who heard him in his confession and ... miraculously restored the smell of his nose. That day Joey not only recovered his sense of smell, but his Christian faith. Father encouraged Joey to go to Garabandal after confirming, "Yes, it is true that Our Lady is appearing at Garabandal."

October 28, 1964, second letter of St. Padre Pio

  • "Peace and greetings, Padre Pio is praying with your heart for your intentions and asks you to pray, and place your trust in the Divine Mercy in order to acquire the patience to overcome all the difficulties and adversities of life, and also the spiritual blessings and graces for the sanctification of your soul. Padre Pio assures you that he will constantly remember you in your prayers and send you his paternal blessing. "

January 12 to 20, 1966, Conchita's visit to Padre Pio

Conchita went to San Giovanni Rotondo, to visit a friend, the famous Padre Pio. On that day and although he did not feel well, Padre Pio came to welcome Conchita and said: "Conchita de San Sebastián de Garabandal is here! "

The interview went well, the famous Capuchin blessed Conchita several times. Conchita asked Padre Pio to bless her. He showed the crucifix that Our Lady kissed in Garabandal and asked Padre Pio to bless him. He did so and placed the crucifix on the stigma of his hand and then placed it in Conchita's hand.

October 16, 1968, Conchita receives a telegram ...

On October 16, 1968, about a month after Padre Pio's death, Conchita received a telegram from Lourdes. It was sent by a friend, indicating to him the urgency of her to go to the Sanctuary of Lourdes.

Convent of the Capuchins, August 22, 1968

For Conchita, Padre Pio said:
"I pray to the Virgin Mary to comfort you and guide you in the ways of holiness. I bless you with all my heart."
This note, which was given by Padre Pio on the feast day of the Immaculate Heart of Mary to the superior of the monastery of San Giovanni Rotondo, was brought to Conchita by one of the famous Capuchin messenger and friend, Franciscan Father Bernardino Cennamo, who was himself in Garabandal on June 18, 1965 and who witnessed ecstasy but who doubted his divine origin. This doubt remained in this his friend until the day when the famous Capuchin of Pietrelcina asked him to offer Conchita the little veil that would cover his face after his death. This extraordinary relic was given to Conchita. On that day in Lourdes, Conchita also learned that Father Pio, before his death, was made known to the future Miracle of Garabandal: "He told me this, himself," said Father Bernardino. A few days later, Conchita wrote to Joey mentioning this important event.

Padre Pio's visit to Garabandal in bilocation

10  October 1967

Conchita had written to Padre Pio requesting his advice on various subjects that concerned her, and before the letter had time to reach San Giovanni Rotondo, a group of Padre Pio's spiritual children composed of five Italians, one Frenchman, one Canadian, one Filipino and a Belgian priest, visit her in Garabandal, announcing to her the visit of Padre Pio to respond directly to her questions.

Then, on October 10, 1967, through a phenomenon of bilocation (the capacity of one person to be present in two places at the same time), Padre Pio's visit to Conchita took place at his house, where he was about an hour . She can see his figure, unmistakable habit, hear his voice, kiss his hands and notice the penetrating and characteristic perfume that comes out of his wounds.

During his visit, he said among other things that he had been in Garabandal four times and, as proof of the authenticity of his presence, he writes in a letter in Aramaic the phrase "in union of prayers" and signed P Pio.

Note: It must be reported that Padre Pio never left during his entire religious life, from the Convent in San Giovanni Rotondo, Italy. His visit to Garabandal only happened by the process of bilocation that only happen to some saints.
